Jong TNO Networking Trip to Brussels and Visit to EU parliament | Brussels
2024 is an incredibly exciting year for European politics, with elections that are likely to have a massive impact on the direction of the EU over the coming years. What better way to experience this than to hear about it from the people shaping these discussions, in the capital city itself! 🏛
In collaboration with the EU office of TNO, jong TNO is organising a networking trip to the European capital, Brussels. Join us for an exciting day with sessions ranging from networking sessions, parliament tour and presentations on key strategic challenges:
Agenda:
- ~09:00 Arrival at Brussels Zuid-Midi 🚅
- 09:30–12:00 Presentation at Neth-ER about developments in Brussels
- 12:00–13:00 Networking lunch with Neth-ER, EARTO and EU managers of TNO 🍜
- 13:30–15:30 Tour of the European Parliament 🏛
- 16:00–16:30 Presentation at the Permanent Representation of the Kingdom of the Netherlands to the European Union in Brussels
- 16:30–18:00 Networking drinks with the Rijkstrainees and Blue Book Trainees 🍸
- ~19:00 Departure from Brussels 🙋♀️
Please note:
- Given the amount of effort being put into organising this event by the EU office and several partners, please ensure that you register for the event only if you are certain you can attend.
- The cost for the event will be partly funded by jong TNO. The train tickets (to-and-from Brussels, from a central location in the Netherlands), lunch and drinks are included in the price mentioned here. You are encouraged to pick up dinner before the train back (not covered in the cost).
- The hours for this event are not covered by jong TNO. Please account for leave hours or arrange for suitable (indirect) hours from your department for the same.
- Seats are available strictly on a first-come-first-serve basis. Even if the event is full, please sign up, and we will contact you in case of any cancellations.
