ICA: Classical Music Concert - Tchaikovsky in Amsterdam | Fri 25 Sep at 20:45

JongTNO members are invited by ICA (InterCompany Association) to attend an exclusive evening of classical music at the world-famous Concertgebouw in Amsterdam.

Whether you are a seasoned concertgoer or completely new to symphonic music, this special ICA collaboration offers the perfect opportunity to experience one of the most beloved piano concertos ever written, free of charge.

Classical Music Concert: Tchaikovsky in Amsterdam

Join fellow young professionals for an unforgettable evening of world-class music in one of the most renowned concert halls in the world.

Tchaikovsky's Piano Concerto No. 1

Tchaikovsky's First Piano Concerto opens majestically and sweeps between stormy drama and tender lyricism, giving the soloist every chance to shine alongside the orchestra. Deeply Slavic in spirit, it is full of sweeping melodies, Ukrainian folk echoes, and even a surprising snippet of French cabaret.

Hear this masterpiece performed by rising-star pianist Seong-Jin Cho, conducted by Joana Mallwitz. The evening opens with a suite from Richard Strauss's Der Rosenkavalier, another work rich in romance and stylistic quotation.
