ICA: Ethics of Engineering Masterclass - KIVI

JongTNO members are invited by ICA (InterCompany Association) to participate in the Ethics of Engineering Masterclass, organized by the Royal Dutch Institute of Engineers (KIVI).

This engaging masterclass explores the ethical responsibilities of engineers and the impact engineering decisions have on society. As engineers increasingly work on technologies and systems that shape the world around us, understanding how to navigate ethical dilemmas becomes an essential professional skill.

Assistant Professors Maren Behrensen and Bas de Boer from the University of Twente will guide participants through practical frameworks and real-world examples to help recognize, evaluate, and address ethical challenges in engineering practice.

This event is organized by the Royal Dutch Institute of Engineers (KIVI).

About the Masterclass

The products of engineering inevitably shape the world in which we live, and companies where engineers work often wield significant influence on society. Because of this, engineers have specific professional responsibilities.

The goal of this masterclass is to foster awareness of those responsibilities from an ethical perspective and introduce practical action-guiding frameworks that can help navigate complex ethical dilemmas in professional practice.
