Room update: 36.05 at the 3rd floor
Do you know this feeling—when time seems to fly by, the year-end rush has you running from task to task, and stress leaves you wondering what all of this is about again? With this 2h-workshop, we want to invite you to pause, reflect for a moment, reconnect with your why, and rediscover the energy and clarity that guide choices in your work and life.
Description of the workshop
If you know what matters to you, what makes you happy, and dare to stand up for it, something wonderful happens: your energy starts to flow, your actions become more natural, and it becomes easier to make choices. Choices that contribute to your growth and, therefore, to that of the organization. In other words: if you have a clear understanding of your Why, you have an (inner) compass that guides you.
In this workshop, we will take first steps in exploring your Why. We will do this partly through the mind, but mainly through body language. Because your body does not lie.
This afternoon, we will work with a method in which you help each other to discover your Why. We will start individually, because finding your Why starts with yourself. You will each be given a number of questions to answer. We encourage you to look at the questions in a “selfish” way. Don't take anyone else into account! Next, you will work in pairs or groups of three to share your answers to the questions. Body language is key in this part. The listeners will look for the sparkle in your eyes, for energy, for what your body language is saying. After you will have an in-depth conversation about it together.
Finally, everyone is given a short period of individual reflection time. What did this exercise yield? Is it concrete enough? Does it deserve more attention? Were there any eye-openers? To what extent social desirability stands in your way? We conclude with the question: how will this help you make choices in your work?
The workshop will be facilitated by Storifiers (www.Storifiers.nl/Over-ons) – who regularly work with TNO colleagues on topics as storytelling, personal development and authenticity.
After the workshop everyone is invited to come along for drinks at Lab71(buy your own drinks).
